We were greeted at the airport by an impressive welcome ceremony. The traditions in Tonga are still very much alive and their culture well preserved. The women danced to a traditional welcome song.

We met this cool social media addict, Emilie, that has been living in Auckland for 3 years.

This is definitely something cool that I can agree with.

No I am not sitting in the cockpit. This is just the view from my passenger seat on this commercial flight to American Samoa. If I stretch my legs I could touch the controls with my feet. I guess this is first class! I'm close enough to play peek-a-boo with the pilot! I won't though...

This is the smallest plane we have been on so far on our travels. It's definitely the smallest commercial plane I have ever seen. It barely fits 18 people squashed together for a 30 minute flight to American Samoa. I guess I won't expect any drink trolleys coming down the isle on this on!

This lady tells us how the Tongan people are always friendly. Everyone and anyone will always smile at you whether you're a stranger or not. We did indeed experience this. It is not for nothing that it's called the 'friendly islands'.
