We're walking along the pier taking in the city's atmosphere. Despite the cold, people are really warm and friendly. My friend Heidi who when speaking english surprised me with the most unexpected irish accent, said when living abroad she could never get over her longing for Norway.

People here love nothing more than to come here and have some fun on a
sleigh!

People in Norway absolutely love their winter sports! With that much
snow it's to be expected! A bunch of snowboarders showed me their
happiness. Simply in enjoying an afternoon on the slopes and doing a
few jumps.

So happy to be skiing here under this beautiful clear sky. Lots of happy people here in Oslo enjoying the slopes!

En una mañana fría en Wales estamos probando algo de la gastronomía local y está muy rica! Nuestra anfitriona, Ish, nos comentó que la comida le encanta pero también (cómo vemos aquí) le hace muy feliz dormir! Dormir es bueno! Después de una rica comida, una rica siesta... No creen? ;D

Expecting to go to Gambia we somehow found ourselves in Lisbon! What happened? Guinea-Bissau happened... Long story short we found ourselves without cash after a huge visa payment at the airport... Somehow the exchange rate to Euros went up exponentially that day... No comment. So the next day after a fruitless search for a bank that would accept our cards, we had to miss our flight out because we couldn't pay the hotel. Thankfully, we came across some very helpful people and managed to catch the next flight out which just happened to go to Lisbon! Haha! The unexpected events in a traveler's life...

OK, this is a must see.  We hung out with some university students in Senegal today and shared some tea and fellowship under a tree.  This one guy had a nickname that sounded a lot like Al Bundy to me and that's what I'll call him.  He told me that happiness for him was ROCK!!!  Then we proceeded to rock together and the results where hilarious!  This was just the coolest day ever and this guy and this video show just a small portion of why.  This, my friends, is happiness.

In Senegal, we had a very special opportunity to fellowship and share time and tea with university students here in Senegal.  This was one of the most special moments of my life, being able to share laughter, stories and their specially brewed tea with such unique and amazing people.  For them, this is everyday stuff and for us, it was a shared moment that will live in my memory for a lifetime.  We didn't just hear about their happiness, we got a chance to share it with them and it was very special.  

Compartir un té con nuestros nuevos amigos senegaleses fue todo un privilegio. Aprendimos de sus tradiciones, de las etnias del país, de cómo se reunen a tomar el té, de cómo tienen una gran tradición de compartir: el té, la comida, el hacer deporte juntos, las sonrisas, el resolver los problemas juntos, etc. Y tuvimos la oportunidad de compartir con ellos aquí, afuera de la Universidad, bajo este árbol que les recuerda a los lugares de dónde provienen y al que llaman lugar 'Bueno-Sagrado'! Decir que nos la pasamos bien es poco... :)

Estamos en Senegal, compartiendo con una familia senegalesa que nos invitó a comer en su casa. La comida está siendo preparada. Los olores de las especias, del arroz y del pescado nos abren el apetito. Kelly está ayudando en la cocina. Nos encanta poder experimentar esto: la sensación hogareña y la hospitalidad de esta gente. Estamos super contentos de estar aquí!

C'est par ce magnifique temps que nous tentons de découvrir ce que c'est le bonheur à Paris. Nous avons parlé à des touristes autant qu'à des Parisiens car cette ville est tellement cosmopolite que le monde entier y est représenté

Quelle belle ville vue d'ici! J'ai toujours voulu aller jusqu'au dessus de la tour Eiffel. C'était l'occasion!

Ce duo mère-fille adorent voyager ensemble pour découvrir d'autres pays, d'autres cultures, d'autres paysages.

Cette dame extraordinaire a choisi le bénévolat comme source de bonheur. Elle dit que son bonheur se trouve dans dans les petits moments comme le visage des enfants défavorisés lorsqu'ils recoivent des vêtements et des jouets.

Comment visiter Bruxelles sans passer au Manneken Pis ? Ayant passé par là tous les jours pendant 4 ans afin d'aller aux cours à l'IHECS, j'ai cultivé une relation avec ce petit bonhomme qui aime se déguiser. Aujourd'hui, l'Estonie est à l'honneur.

Tant que nous sommes dans les traditions touristiques autant se faire plaisir avec une bonne gaufre!

Pour faire découvrir Bruxelles aux garçons Il fallait que je les amènent au Delirium, le bar qui bat le record du monde en nombre de bières de partout dans le monde. Ça collait bien! Tradition oblige, nous avons laissé notre trace sur ce billet d'un Dollar qui sera collé sur le mur.

National compliment day in Amsterdam. Tony told this guy he had a nice hat. We're just enjoying putting those smiles on people's faces and spreading some happiness. It's so easy to give a compliment!

These to friends are both singing different songs to support their
respective football clubs. Flamengo and Botafogo are big rivals, but
these guys don't let affect their friendship!

This is definitely the oldest tram I have ever been on! These trams have been running here for more than 70 years!

A song about the beauty of Rio. These girls radiate happiness even
thought it's a rainy day here in Rio.

It's so much fun to see how the people here are very happy to sing a
song or do a dance just for the heck of it!

She says she's from the north of the country and visiting Rio for the
first time. Just being there on the beautiful beach is a very happy
moment for her.

This guy is singing a typical samba. The song is about singing and
happiness.

These fun young people Showed me a typical carnival dance. The
carnival might be over but the people keep singing and dancing!

Today is an unofficial holiday that marks the end of the carnival. Everyone takes a break from the 4 day festivities. So in the spirit of relaxing, we're taking a trip up the sugar loaf rocks that overlook Rio. The view up here is amazing!

To this lady happiness is meeting people at her stand. She says she's
poor and she can't afford to travel but this way she's able to meet
people from different cultures.

My new artist friend Carloa told me that he expresses his happiness
through drawing. Of course I then asked him to draw some happiness for
me. He immediately grabbed a piece of paper and started drawing a
fruitbowl to symbolize te simple plaleasures in life that can be as
down to earth as fresh fruit on a Sunday morning.

This famous artist Ysanne Gayet is from England but has been living in
Paraguay for 40 years. She says the country offers her a greater
possibility to express herself through art

I'm in Aragua, an old town of Paraguay thy keeps many traditions
alive. One of those taditions is art. Here in the streets you an see a
mix of pottery and paintings from paraguayan artists of whom a few
are world renowned. this artist Carlos told me about how he expresses
his happiness in art and the best way to describe happiness is 'harmony'

This is the Coke bottle made out of clay painted by an english born artist who has been living in Paraguay for the last 40 years. Ysanne Gayet.

I enjoyed typical music from Paraguay by the local band Los Hechiceros Guaranies. They sing in spanish and in guarani, the native language.

What makes Chile a happy place to live? According to this girl Natalia
it's because of the different seasons the country offers. As opposed
to other South American countries Chile has four distinct seasons.

To this sir happiness is art! He's an artist and you can see his
paintings!

As the Olympic torch relay makes its way through the streets, there
are these happiness trucks that proceed it. I got a chance to join up
with them and it is just nuts. The people who work on these trucks
are just awesome, full of energy and quite literally spreading
happiness as they roll through town. They are dancing and yelling on
the side of the truck and you can see the smiles spread as they roll
pass. Chelsea, one of the happiness ambassadors, talks about the
experience.

It seems that this Olympic vibe I'm feeling isn't just a figment of my
imagination. One of the locals describes that vibe that's flowing
through everyone here.

Hayley actually got to carry the Olympic torch and the atmosphere
around that experience sounds really cool. I can't wait to check it
out myself tonight!
